November 12, 2008 – A radio website that reaches out to advertisers (instead of listeners) beat out over 100 nominees to win the “Best Radio Website in America” contest, conducted by the Radio Advertising Bureau’s Radio Sales Today. The winner, chosen by RST readers, is TopekaRadioAdvertising.com and it’s creator, Gregg Murray of Sales Imaging’s iRadioSales.
Five Finalists were chosen in October, and iRadioSales’ winning site was selected November 7, 2008. The criteria for the “Best Radio Website in America” were content, design, and ease of use.
Nominating Judge, Mel Taylor said, “Most radio websites do not focus on how to drive revenue. When I saw that iRadioSales had produced a website that took the strength of local radio and drove advertisers, it really jumped out at me. Gregg Murray and iRadioSales realizes that not every radio website has to focus on Brittney Spears or the morning show. But, can be focused on radio’s other customer, the advertiser.”
